About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to provide culturally sensitive social, emotional, cultural and spiritual wellbeing support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with a mental illness, who are experiencing homelessness.
About you
Deliver culturally sensitive Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander support services within a large multidisciplinary mental health setting, under the direction and supervision of professional and line management.
Work within a Recovery framework to assist in meeting the individual needs of Indigenous people with a mental illness who may have a co-occurring substance abuse problem and who are homeless are at risk of homelessness.
Contribute to the understanding of individual cases by facilitating culturally appropriate assessment and assisting with interpretation of information from a cultural perspective, including the provision of co-case management as an Other Service Provider (OSP).
