Overview
Community Bridging Services (CBS) Inc. is offering the Aim Wider Program to support adults with high support needs to explore and plan career pathways, build skills, confidence and networks to move into open employment. Aim Wider is funded by the Australian Government Department for Social Services' Structural Adjustment Fund and builds on the CBS Aim Hider program for youth leaving school. Employment type: Full-time, Fixed-Term contract until June 2026, subject to ongoing funding. Vacancies: 1. Location: Adelaide. Hours: 38 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Work with participants to achieve positive outcomes such as employability skills, personal development, improved quality of life and a welcoming and inclusive learning environment.
Use a strengths-based and person-centred approach to provide group-based and one-on-one supports.
Assist Aim Wider participants to reach their employment goals by providing feedback and guidance.
Research, develop, maintain and report on progress of the projects.
Establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders including management, and engage with stakeholders on an ongoing basis to meet agreed outcomes and ensure project success.
Assist with establishing services designed to provide open employment options for people living with a disability under the guidance of the Projects Coordinator.
Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills to comfortably present as a public speaker at events.
Support scheduling arrangements and prepare delivery materials including equipment for information sessions and workshops.
Complete and assist with administrative tasks for the development of the projects, including assisting with seeking employment and work experience.
Contribute to new business development including involvement in planning meetings and grant writing.
Assist and develop tools and resources to deliver project activities as required.
Find work experience for participants in the local area aligned to their strengths and interests and support participants in work experience when necessary.
Participate in meetings with employers, families and advocates where necessary and encourage the inclusion of people with a disability in all aspects of community life.
Collate and maintain data to meet reporting requirements and deadlines and ensure activities comply with relevant legislation and professional standards.
Position Requirements
Current Australian Driver's Licence - P2 minimum (essential).
Meet the current COVID-19 vaccination requirement (medical exemption acceptable) or willingness to obtain.
Current DHS / NDIS checks and clearances or willingness to obtain.
Current Manual Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
Current Child Safe Environments Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
