**The role**:
Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Building Quality Manager will be responsible for implementing Quality Management Plans and supervising the performance of the construction contractor(s). This includes managing in-house (Contractor) or third party (subcontractor) quality assurance personnel and providing oversight and independent inspection and verification of construction contractor(s) quality control processes, and documentation of all construction activities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and inspect construction activities and advise the client on quality control and quality assurance issues, such as non-compliance with standards, or potential problems (e.g., technical or legal) that could affect schedule, scope, cost, or safety.
- Supervises Quality Control inspection schedules and the collection of quality records.
- Supports the Construction Manager in dealing with the client for all the quality matters.
- Assesses the implementation of the Quality Plan and Quality Control Plans on the site.
- Supervises inspections, reports and the documentation issued by inspectors and collect and file the required Quality Records.

**To be successful you will bring**:

- Minimum 10 years' experience quality control / quality assurance experience in the construction/building sector
- Demonstrated high level organizational, construction inspection, and record keeping skills
- Strong knowledge of the National Construction and Australian standard codes
- Skilled in identifying local construction technologies and construction material sources
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
