From years of experience in shot finishing on broadcast or feature film projects you will have developed an 'eye' for the work.
You will have a good working knowledge of art, design and film lighting, as well as a solid technical grounding in ray tracing or path tracing renderers.
Some experience with Look Development and shader setup will be of an advantage to you in this position.
In this role you will work closely with experienced lighting leads and supervisors, to achieve the highest quality on our VFX projects, pushing the industry standard.Must HaveMinimum of 6 years VFX industry experience as a Lighting Artist on high-end live-action feature filmsProduction experience with Maya and/or Houdini and/or SolarisShowreel demonstrating experience in shot lighting and rendering on high quality productionsExperience troubleshooting pipeline issuesExperience using production quality renderers (e.g. Mantra, Renderman, Solaris, Arnold)Nice to HaveHigh end live-action VFX production experience, producing photo real workProduction experience using Solaris and/or Katana and/or HoudiniBasic compositing experience, using Nuke or equivalentA broad Generalist TD backgroundAbout YouPassionate about filmProactiveTechnically adeptTeam orientedAdaptableAble to take direction2 years contractThe ideal candidate must have the right to work in Australia.Workplace Flexibility & LocationWe believe great work happens through connection and collaboration — that's why we love spending time together in our beautiful Sydney office.
For this role, we ask that candidates be available to work from the office at least two days per week.
If you're not currently based in Sydney, relocation will be required to be eligible.
