**About the role**

As a Research Manager, you will be a highly motivated person with a passion for management and oversight of high quality research. The person holding this position oversees effective delivery of HammondCare's research strategy across complex dementia, palliative care, ageing and other research priority areas and will have a deep understanding of, and experience in, the research and research governance environment.
**Responsibilities**
- Oversee HammondCare's internal research governance office and procedures, and acts as the direct line report for HammondCare research governance staff
- Ensure smooth operation of HammondCare's internal research governance systems and processes
- Manage and maintain databases for tracking and reporting on HammondCare's completed, current and proposed research initiatives
- Collaborate with lead investigators, HammondCare finance team, and Foundation to invoice for HammondCare's research governance activity, monitor research project budgets and provide reporting and financial acquittals to funding bodies as required
- Provide information, reports and advice to internal and external stakeholders on project management, project budget management, contractual obligations, risk management and research governance and ethics requirements
- Work in partnership with HammondCare's legal team to ensure all partnered research projects have consistent project contracts and manage the review and signing of research contracts
**What do we need from you?**
- Detailed and in depth understanding of, and experience within research and research governance environments, research management procedures and policies; ideally gained as a research manager or from working within a university or other research active institution
- Current GCP training certification essential
- Experience managing research systems, processes and reporting, including managing and reporting on budgets and working with lead investigators to support them in understanding research governance and ethics requirements
- Experience in grant management and/or writing, with an understanding of research methods
- High level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products and an understanding and/or experience with reference management software
- Ability to manage priorities and competing deadlines to produce quality research reports and advice on research policies and procedures
- Experience using Salesforce, Smartsheet or Power BI highly desirable
