What will your typical day look like?
- Produce tubes needed for the manufacturing of radiators and oil coolers that come under Mesabi products.
- Setting up of tube presses and running tubes continuously and efficiently on our semi-automated tube machines.
- Carrying out light maintenance on the machinery (i.e. cleaning and lubrication of parts).
- Carries out all duties directed by the Tube room Supervisor in a safe and timely manner as per guidelines and procedures.
- Follow all safe working practices such as utilising the correct PPE in accordance with the SDS sheets.
- Follow safe high-risk practices using forklifts and cranes if licensed to use such equipment (lifting plans and TAKE 2/5 to be done prior).
- Follow all SWI (shop work instructions), SP (standard procedures) and QAI work instructions (quality assurance instructions) as directed. Must be able to recognise quality deviations & faults once trained.
