Enterprise Information Systems Security Specialist

Key Network Security Position
This role requires a technical expert in network security to analyze and define IT systems security requirements, implement solutions, plan and track projects, and coordinate inter-agency efforts.
Duties include:
Applying business process engineering concepts to lead or conduct studies; designing and implementing solutions to maintain and enhance the security of information systems and networks, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, port and VLAN level filtering, network monitoring, compliance tools, audit logging, password management, anti-spam and virus systems, patch management systems, and other related security systems and processes (on-premise and cloud).
Developing policies and procedures to ensure reliability, accessibility, and prevent unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data; conducting risk and vulnerability assessments; and performing systems security evaluations, audits, and reviews.
Performing other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Five (5) years of progressive experience performing related duties such as conducting end-to-end cybersecurity monitoring to identify and mitigate risks; identifying network improvements and making recommendations to enhance system security (on-premises and cloud). Certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or CEH are preferred.
