Boeing is on the lookout for an experienced Senior Taxation Specialist to act as the lead in Boeing's Australian based tax team. This exciting role gives the rare opportunity to be responsible for multiple international corporate income tax responsibilities associated with the Company's Australian, Oceana and Asian operations. The role is a part of the broader Boeing Corporate Tax Department (primarily based in the US) and report to the locally-based Director of International Taxation.
To be successful in this role you must be a highly motivated individual with a demonstrated understanding of complex cross border and Australian tax issues, income tax accounting concepts, and the ability to manage a high volume of transactional activity. Your analytical skills, including the ability to research, summarize findings and develop conclusions and recommendations on various tax issues, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Advising on the direct and indirect tax consequences of new business operations or opportunities as the company expands in the APAC market
- Assisting with APAC tax planning projects to ensure a global tax-efficient structure
- Managing APAC tax compliance and audits.This includes future Pillar 2 non-US compliance.
- Managing of tax provision calculations for relevant APAC entities
- Work closely with other tax team members, financial/cost accountants, legal counsel, business operational, regional leadership personnel, outside consultants, and others to ensure the provision of timely advice and guidance, accurate tax reporting and optimum tax efficiency.
- Support internal/external auditors and aid implementation and problem resolution
- Work independently as required with confident communication and presentation skills at a level appropriate for Regional Leadership.
- Knowledge of tax laws and codes.
**Typical Education/Experience**
Accounting or Finance degree essential
Charted Accounting or CPA Post Graduate Qualification Ideal (but not essential):
- 3 years + Chartered Accounting Firm; AND
- 4 years + Commercial/Industry based Taxation Role
