Taxation Specialist

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Taxation Specialist to join our Public Trust Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for key tasks in taxation and financial services.
- Preparation of income tax returns, including review stage, in accordance with productivity benchmarks.
- Providing sound and accurate advice in the area of financial and taxation accounting services, including assistance in the provision of expert guidance.
- Utilizing information systems to provide service and advice to stakeholders, including use of technology to support decision-making.
- Auditing, reviewing, investigating, and appraising systems and program evaluation to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
- Contributing to a positive and safe work environment by modeling conduct that is culturally capable, inclusive, respectful, and ethical.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of taxation laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using information systems and technology to support decision-making.
