**Position Information**:
Burwood Public School is located in Sydney's inner west and has an enrolment of approximately 490 students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Approximately 97% of students have a first language or dialect other than English. The school is dynamic and innovative, with a strong focus on providing quality education for all students. Excellence is promoted across all areas of the curriculum and an emphasis is placed on providing a broad range of learning opportunities to meet the academic, social, emotional and physical needs of all students. **Selection Criteria**:
**1**.In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach students with hearing impairment.

**2.**Experience in liaising with schools, students, families and additional external stakeholders to deliver successful learning outcomes and quality service provision for hearing impaired students.

**3.** Proven ability to lead, supervise and support a team of Itinerant Support Teachers Hearing in addressing the complex learning needs of students with hearing impairment across educational settings and ability to provide professional learning on hearing impaired students for school staff.

**General Selection Criteria**:

- 1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice- 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs- 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams- 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents- 5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning- 6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies**Conditions**:
