**Position description**:
We seek an enthusiastic **Laboratory Aide (Support Services) **to join our **Specimen Reception team** at Lake Macquarie Private Laboratory in Gateshead. You will be an essential team member, and your responsibilities will include the following:

- Coding of patient specimens in a timely manner
- Filing and processing of specimens in accordance with strict WHS guidelines
- Recording key information and accurately doing data entry in multiple data bases
- Carrying out administrative tasks, such as troubleshooting issues, communicating results to other stakeholders and other laboratory tasks as required.

- Is open to working full time hours rostered Monday to Sunday, between 7am to 9pm and flexibility for public holidays
- Prior experience in a laboratory setting. A Certificate in Pathology Aide is desirable but not necessary.
- A hard-working, motivated and reliable individual with a strong work ethic.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is a team player
- Strong attention to detail with good time management skills and excellent communication skills.
