
Lead Environment Management Specialist

**Purpose of the role**:
This roles coordinates lots of activities and brings together stakeholders to ensure a cohesive plan can be produced that covers all aspects of the work being proposed. You will be responsible for
- Developing and oversee Environment Plans to support Releases and Projects, so environments are ready for all planned activities.
- Contributing to the planning and scoping for new work to ensure environment and cutover requirements are captured early and avoid any rework.
- Assisting the Manager by providing specialist technical advice and researching new and emerging technologies.
- Providing guidance and advice to the team undertaking environment, cutover and transport management tasks, including troubleshooting.
- Planning, developing, and contributing to the functions of the team, fulfilling governance requirements, and producing documentation to make sure every activity is a success.
- Trouble shooting any unexpected issues encountered in environment, cutover and transport work.
**Requirements of the role**:
To be considered for this role you have
- Demonstrated experience in managing SAP environments and cutovers
- 5 years' experience in a similar SAP environment or cutover role
- SAP technical skills such as basis, development or transport management experience beneficial
- Ability to quickly understand new technologies develop and strategies for managing them
- Very strong written and oral communication skills
- Able to contribute proactively within a team setting
- Strong interpersonal skills, motivated, proactive and driven to succeed
- Intermediate level knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Teams
- Ability to work well under pressure, autonomously and as part of a team
- Have a positive flexible attitude and possess an excellent work ethic.

- Attention to detail in the planning, organising and sharing information on SAP environment and cutover work being done.
- Talking to and interacting with a wide variety of people from all areas and levels of the organisation.
- Taking responsibility and ownership for their work as well as enjoying the contribution they can make to the team deliverables.
- Their understanding of the underlying technical background areas of SAP such as basis, transport management or programming and who has now moved forward or would like to move into environment management and cutover.
- Appreciation of the importance of environment management to support all activities undertaken in an SAP support organisation and be prepared to explain that importance to others.
