This role involves working closely with children to deliver play-based learning opportunities that enhance social, cultural, and developmental milestones.
Additionally, the role engages families to ensure their awareness and involvement in their child's learning journey.DutiesEngage community members and support parents and caregivers in enrolling their child into ATSICHS kindy, following all policies and procedures.Build secure and respectful relationships with children by acknowledging and adapting interactions to each child's cultural, physical, intellectual, social, and personal experiences.Provide playful, engaging interactions and learning experiences while maintaining a professional adult supervisory presence.Deliver diverse, targeted care and education experiences that are planned, spontaneous, real-life, and imaginary.Create experiences that foster children's curiosity and creativity, bringing joy and excitement to their childhood.Engage with children using rich language and meaningful dialogue with children and colleagues.Maintain accurate learning portfolios for all children, documenting assessments and progress.Maximise children's potential through all interactions, laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning.Supervise children thoroughly to ensure safety and wellbeing, including regular headcounts during activities.Record and share children's daily learning activities with caregivers via online platforms like Storypark.Reflect critically on personal pedagogy and program implementation, identifying opportunities for improvement.CultureEnjoy working in a community-focused not-for-profit organisation that makes a difference.
Join our friendly and supportive Education, Prevention, and Early Intervention team to grow personally and professionally.BenefitsPermanent Part-Time position, Monday to Wednesday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.Annual salary of $75,030 plus 12% superannuation and salary packaging options to increase take-home pay.Work for a community-controlled organisation.COVID-19 RequirementsImmunisation against COVID-19 with two doses is encouraged.Required Qualifications and ExperienceCompleted Certificate III in Early Education with at least 3 years of experience in a classroom kindergarten setting of long day care.Alternatively, currently studying for a Diploma in Early Education with at least 2 years of classroom kindergarten experience.Ability to understand and apply early years teaching pedagogy aligned with ATSICHS values, including adapting approaches based on individual children's needs and development.Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Framework (NQF).
