**Position Overview**:
**Accountabilities**
- Schedule and facilitate Scrum Agile ceremonies on a day to day and Sprint by Sprint basis.
- Foster and motivate a culture of openness, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Work with stakeholders to prioritize and groom Product backlogs.
- Work with stakeholders to gather prioritized User Stories in a timely manner for Sprint Planning.
- Escalate and manage Impediments (roadblocks) to ensure successful Sprint completions.
- Coach teams on the basics of Scrum or Kanban (as needed) in simple terms.
- Uphold the Agile methodology values and principles; facilitate Scrum Agile ceremonies, focusing teams to deliver value quickly.
- Continuously monitor teams to ensure Sprint completion by scheduled Sprint end to coordinate with committed Release dates.
- Gather, document and provide/present Sprint metrics on a regular cadence.
- Work with leadership to manage competing priorities and resourcing.
- Set a professional example for the team through model behavior, superior performance, and proper attendance.
- Drive the team to meet deadlines.
- Facilitate teamwork to meet goals.
- Identify and encourage areas for professional growth and improvement within the team as it relates to an Agile mindset.
- Assess and suggest opportunities for process improvement.
- Promote adherence to departmental/software development process standards.
- Engage in internal stakeholder management.
**Qualifications**
- Scrum Master Certification
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively problem-solve, analyze, and react effectively to change
- 5+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master
- 5+ years professional work experience
- Understand implementation details of Scrum
- Understand Agile Software development process
- Ability to work in a rapidly growing fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities within deadlines
- Outstanding computer and business systems reporting skills including high proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Visio, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
