We invest in GREAT people, work with GREAT clients and run a GREAT firm.Current opportunity: As part of our Business Consulting Services division, this is a Senior role that is responsible for driving exceptional client service in the preparation of tax advice, tax reports and strategies.
Reporting to our long standing and very experienced Tax Director, you will actively partner with clients to reach their potential.
Based in our CBD offices you will be surrounded by specialists with technical expertise, provide great client service and propel your career.The role:Proactive and tailored strategic tax adviceDeveloping client relationships with a diverse group of clientsResearch and analyse technical tax issuesAssistance with tax consulting advice such as tax consolidations, small business CGT, and SME restructuringReview of financial statements and tax returns for a variety of structuresFinancial modelling, calculations and analysisAssist clients with ATO reviews, governance matters and auditsWorking with ATO to obtain rulings for clientsProviding clients with guidance in all aspects of taxation law, including GST, CGT, international tax etc.Your skills and experienceWe're happy to receive applications from candidates with 5 years prior tax and advisory or taxation consulting experience in an Australian Accounting Practice or Law firmIdeally dual degree qualified – Accounting & LawStrategic tax advice and tax planning experience essentialAble to develop strong relationships with clients and colleaguesExcellent English skills both written and oralExperience with small business CGT, international taxation and financial modelling an advantageLife at Nexia Edwards MarshallDespite being part of the Nexia global network of over 600 offices across more than 120 countries, including offices in every mainland state and territory in Australia, here you're more than just another face.
