**Downer Rail and Transit Systems (RTS**) is proud to be a leading provider of Rollingstock assets and management in Australia**.** We have been selected to deliver the **Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP),** the largest investment in new rollingstock in Queensland history. This legacy project for Queensland will ensure the design, build, and maintenance of 65 brand new trains, design and build of manufacturing facilities and depots, a huge boost to local manufacturing and supply chain and jobs for the community.

This role will suit a proven Commercial Manager who has an effective and successful background in delivering large complex, multi-disciplinary, Design and Construct contracts and great leadership skills. This role involves the managing of the Design and Construction Subcontract for the construction of the Manufacturing Facility whilst protecting Downer from potential change with the Head Contract.

**About You**:

- 8+ years extensive experience managing contracts and budgets in excess of $1B
- Experience in a tier 1 Construction environment
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Commerce, Construction Management, Engineering, Law or Quantity Surveying
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in complex contractual management
- Advanced knowledge of contractual law and legal acumen
- Advanced negotiation and influencing skills supported by excellent stakeholder management skills
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
