We seek an outstanding leader with knowledge of the mineral, coal and energy resource sector who demonstrates expertise in fiscal management and delivery of financial objectives in a regulatory framework. You will have a proven track record of using sound governance to deliver in a challenging public or private sector environment and knowledge or capacity to rapidly gain insights into the broad financial, environmental, science, governance (ESG) and commodity market trends impacting the sector.

You will need to demonstrate outstanding judgement, high-level integrity, ethics and probity, strong agility to adapt to a constantly changing environment, a strong achievement orientation, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry experience will be required for this position.

**The key responsibilities of the Scheme Manager include**:

- Making decisions under the Act, such as risk category allocations of environmental authorities.
- Maintain the viability of the Scheme fund
- Invest fund monies and cash surety in accordance with the Act
- Develop and maintain statutory guidelines
- Report on Scheme performance and financial position
- Investigate the actuarial sustainability of the Scheme
- Keep accurate records and maintain confidentiality of information
- Facilitate the operations of the Advisory Committee.
- Advise the Minister on Scheme performance and financial position
- Liaise with government and industry stakeholders on the operation and performance of the Scheme with the objective of continuous improvement
