Our Federal Government client is seeking a
**Data Analyst** to deliver on the Australian Government's election commitment to replace the Community Development Program with a new program.

Our client is seeking someone keen to be part of a small, happy and collaborative team, who is excited by the opportunity for data to be used with impact.

**About the role**:

- Preparing data in Qlik and excel or other tools for use in regular hard copy monitoring reports
- Responding to requests for information using tools such as Qlik and excel
- Checking the accuracy of data used to inform various teams and stakeholders
- Contributing to written reports and technical documentation analysing various aspects of the program
- Performing data checking related to the department's data governance requirements around data privacy, and the risk of data re-identification
- Participating in the Community of Practice to improve the usability of administrative data

**Ideally, you will have**:

- Ability to use suitable data analysis tools and techniques to interpret data, find patterns and trends, validate results and solve problems with uncomplicated data
- Skills to contribute to written reports using the results of data analyses
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences including clients, managers and data professionals
- Ability to interpret and prepare standard tables and graphs using Qlik or similar tools and explaining insights from these visuals to inform a range of stakeholders
- Demonstrate intermediate employment services data expertise or ability to acquire intermediate employment services data expertise

**Desirable, but not essential**:

- Demonstrate intermediate statistical data analysis skills to understand and amend existing code to conduct analytical tasks, develop VBA codes in excel, and identify suitable techniques and tools to explore data and generate insights
