- The Opportunity
- We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Supply Chain & Inventory Management Specialist to join the Mercedes-Benz Vans team. Reporting to the Planning, Reporting & Logistics Operations Manager, this role supports key operations within order and inventory management and reporting functions.
- Key responsibilities- Logistics and VPC management, including liaising with suppliers, leading monthly supplier meetings, monitoring KPIs and co-ordinating transport bookings from VPC to body builders / agents
- Stock analysis
- Inventory management to ensure effective sourcing of vehicles for customer requirements.
- Process and system review to foster an environment of continuous improvement to stock management and reporting systems to meet the changing business requirements
- Preparation and submission of local and global reports and operational reporting to provide insights and detailed analysis to monitor stock levels to ensure supply chain efficiency
- Maintain clear, consistent and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders concerning Inventory availability
- Work closely with Planning, Reporting & Logistics Operations Manager to ensure achievement of monthly group sales targets and drive customer excellence through effective supply chain solutions
- Play a key role in business projects, best utilising expertise in systems and logistics operations knowledge
- Back up for order management tasks, internal and external liaison

**Qualifikationen**:

- What we are looking for- Strong MS Office Suite abilities, particular in MS Excel, is essential, along with experience using SAP
- An understanding of supply chain ordering systems and sales transaction systems will be highly regarded
- Cognos/Power BI knowledge is advantageous
- Pro-active and can do attitude, with the ability to multi task and keep organised
- A degree in Business or similar would be highly regarded
- Experience in the Supply Chain and/or Automotive industries will be highly regarded
