Yancoal Australia is Australia's largest pure play coal producer. Our Ashton Coal Operations include an underground mine and coal handling and preparation plant, located in Camberwell. The site operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week_._

**Job Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate routine inspections and maintenance requirements for the CHPP and mine surface infrastructure
- Identify opportunities and deliver technical solutions to ensure CHPP & mine critical assets meet targets
- Maintain compliance with Ashton HSEC and legislative requirements
- Encourage continuous improvement initiatives across site
- Effectively manage contractors and coordinate additional labour as required

**Skills and Experience**:

- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role with understanding of the CHPP environment
- Previous project management experience
- Qualifications in Risk Management and Safety
- Strong understanding of both Surface Mining and Preparation Plant operations
- Contractor management experience
- Highly developed communication skills and ability to build effective relationships
- Safety conscious with previous exposure to risk management processes
- In depth knowledge of plant and machinery in the mining environment
- Self-motivated and results driven
- Ability to effectively negotiate with and influence others
