Our Rare Earths deposit in Mt Weld, Western Australia, is acknowledged as one of the highest-grade Rare Earths mine in the world and we operate the world's largest single Rare Earths processing plant in Malaysia - so you are joining a unique team As a team member you will be contributing to the sustainable supply of rare earths metals which are used in oil & gas, electric vehicles, and wind turbines.

Lynas is embarking on an expansion in Western Australia, and we have an opportunity for a Contracts and Procurement Officer. This is a fixed term 12 month contract, based in our Perth office.

**As a highly valued member of the Lynas Rare Earths team, you will**:

- Provide Procurement and Contract support to the Company Project and Operation teams.
- Responsible for all assigned activities related to the contracting and procurement of equipment, materials and third-party contract services
- Execute procurement processes seeking expressions of interest, requests for quotation and invitation to bids to suppliers.
- Develop and issue tender packages, administer tender process and receive tenders and undertake the review of tender submissions and negotiate any exceptions to Terms and Conditions.
- Prepare recommendations for award and draft Contracts/Purchase Orders
- Administration of post-award contractual obligations and deliverables including, assessing, reviewing, and advising on contractor claims such as, EOTs, progress claims and payment requests
- Manage contractor and internal stakeholder relationships and monitor contract performance.
- Responsible for end-to-end contracts management from tendering, evaluation, contract negotiation, through to award and contracts management
- Managing and liaising with legal department regarding all contracts
- Manage and update the contract management system and ensure commercial information remains accurate and confidential
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring the company's contract and procurement processes and procedures

**What you will bring to the team**:

- Proven experience in procurement and contract management preferably in mining/construction/Civil industry
- Knowledge of using software packages such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Words are essential
- Excellent knowledge of end-to-end supply chain management processes
- Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills with above average conflict resolution skills
- Exposure with creating, implementing and monitoring procurement policies and procedures.
- Demonstrable commitment to HSE requirements in project environments
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position is preferred
- Tertiary qualification in Law, Engineering, Procurement or similar is desirable, but not essential
- Previous Contracts and/or Procurement Administration or Management experience within the construction, engineering, resources industries
- Problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask
