OverviewSenior Solutions Architect - Public Sector, Public Sector - Federal & NSD Team.
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) drives revenue, adoption, and growth from small-, mid-, and enterprise-level customers, including the public sector.
The Solutions Architect team helps customers implement cloud technologies, crafting scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures to address business problems.
This role focuses on shaping and delivering strategies to build mind share and broad use of AWS cloud services within strategic Australian Government accounts, owning the ongoing technical relationship with customers in the Australian Government community.The AWS Solutions Architecture team works with the Australian Government and AWS partners to architect innovative solutions for stakeholders.

They should be able to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
Candidates must hold or be able to obtain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance (see ).
Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the technical engagement and success around specific implementation projects; develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and broad knowledge of how applications and services are constructed on the AWS platform.Lead technical solution discussions with customer teams; craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures.Build relationships with customers and partners, acting as a trusted technical advisor to influence stakeholders from technical teams to executives; ensure short-term technology decisions align with long-term goals.Accelerate adoption of AWS services as part of day-to-day work.Act as a thought leader by educating others, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers/blogs, and running workshops.Gather customer feedback and collaborate with engineering and service teams to shape product directions and services.Shape and deliver strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS within strategic accounts, particularly in the Australian Government community.QualificationsBasic Qualifications8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.7+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.Ability to lead complex technical projects that may require collaboration across multiple teams.Preferred QualificationsExperience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders.Experience architecting or deploying Cloud/Virtualization solutions in enterprise customers.Ability to create proofs of concept, demos, and scripts from scratch or using reusable components.Experience working with Federal government.Ability to present to technical and business audiences (training, workshops, publications).
