**YOUR ROLE**

We are excited to advertise a
**permanent role **to join our Direct Insurance Australia division (DIA). This opportunity will see you to identify compliance and regulatory risks affecting the Direct Insurance business, and co-ordinate activities making sure first line compliance risk maturity meets community expectations through the operationalisation of compliance plans. This includes making sure compliance risks embedded within risk profiles, and mapping of key controls to legal/regulatory obligations are assessed and monitored for improvement over time.

You will also lead the risk and impact assessment of significant changes.

The role will be pivotal in maintaining and maturing IAG's relationship with key stakeholders, and you'll act as a strong influencer through the provision of compliance advice in partnership with the second line group risk compliance function. You'll have the opportunity to utilise your leadership skills by coaching and mentoring a team of consultants.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Solid risk management and compliance experience in financial services or insurance
- Experience leading a team ideally in a risk environment
- Developed understanding of the regulatory environment, compliance obligations and effective controls
- Formal written and communication skills
- Highly organised, with high attention to detail and forward planning
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Undergraduate degree in law or similar, and/or relevant ANZIIF (or similar) accreditation.
