Overview
Head of Technologyrole atProfusion.
Profusion Group has been exclusively retained to complete the search process for a Head of Technology to lead the technology strategy for the NRFC.
TheNational Reconstruction Fund Corporation (NRFC)is Australia's sovereign investor in industrial capability, with a $15 billion mandate to transform and diversify our economy across seven priority areas; from renewable energy and defence to medical science and agriculture.
They're building a team of bold thinkers and collaborative leaders.
As one of NRFC's early technology leaders, you'll be at the forefront of a once-in-a-generation nation-building initiative.
This role offers the unique opportunity to establish technology foundations from the ground up, influence executive and Board-level decisions, and create lasting impact.
Responsibilities
Lead NRFC's technology portfolio, ensuring infrastructure, systems, and networks meet best practice and compliance standards.
Develop and execute strategic IT plans aligned with business goals and growth.
Build and inspire a high-performing, collaborative technology team and shape NRFC's technology culture.
Design and implement enterprise and data architecture to support innovation and scale.
Act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Team and Board on how technology and data can drive innovation and business value.
Set and lead NRFC's security and governance strategy, embedding robust, proactive controls that safeguard critical systems and data.
Direct vendor partnerships and technology investments, driving performance, accountability, and value across the IT portfolio.
Harness emerging technologies — from AI and automation to ethical tech applications — to unlock innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
Qualifications
10+ years' experience in technology leadership, ideally within financial services or investment environments.
Proven success in start-up or scale-up environments would be an extra strength.
Strong business acumen and ability to translate tech into business value.
Expertise in Microsoft technologies (Azure, Office 365) and modern IT practices.
Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and team development skills.
A Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; further studies in AI or machine learning highly regarded.
