We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Transmission Lines PNO (Project Network Officer) at our South Metro depot (Forrestdale) on a permanent full-time basis.
As a Project Network Officer, you will be required to manage the construction phase of Western Power's asset driven and customer driven projects. You will maintain knowledge of work standards, procedures, network systems and working towards the continuous improvement and innovation of the team.
This role is based at our brand-new state-of-the-art South Metro Depot in Forrestdale, conveniently located next to Tonkin Highway. Spanning across 120,000 square meters. With the latest infrastructure and technology, the depot empowers all employees to create that perfect work-life balance whilst operating in an inclusive and diverse workplace.
**Your Role in Action**
- You will Provide strategic leadership with an ability to motivate for success.
- Plan, Coordinate and execute complex technical work on Western Power networks.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful completion of complex Transmission lines projects.
- Manage your own work in order to respond to customer enquiries professionally and in the quickest possible timeframe.
- Plan and undertake switching tasks on the Western Power network ( TX and DX ).
- Ensure that relevant computer systems are kept up to date and provide project status reports to internal management and external customers as requested.
- Use project management systems and tools to manage work.
- Adhere (and ensure adherence) to all safety strategies, programs and practices.
- Ensure work is completed according to engineering standards and regulations.
- Monitor and analyse operational performance data.
**What Makes You a Great Fit**
- It is essential that you possess a Cert III - ESI Distribution or Transmission
- A Grade Electrical Licence is desirable
- Best practice experience in project management (such as negotiation, planning, communication, use of initiative and problem solving) with a minimum of 8 years' extensive experience
- Strong experience dealing with external customers
- Hold all appropriate industry licences or certificates of competency
- Health & Safety knowledge relevant to the electricity supply and construction sector.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
