Nanny - 3 Days A Week (All Day)

**Our Family**:

- We are a fun loving and happy family of 4 - mum, dad, a little 3.5yr old boy and 1 year old girl. We value music, reading, playing together outside and sport. Mum and dad are two busy working professionals and we have always had a beautiful nanny in our home to help nurture and support our children when we can't be with them while we are working. We love to go on adventures to the park - explore new things in the neighborhood, make cubbies and to create special experiences and memories for our children. Our children are happy, enthusiastic and independent. Our son (3yr) is an enthusiastic chatterbox who loves reading, playing outside and playing ball sports. Our daughter (1yr) is almost walking and is a very bubbly and curious little girl who is starting to develop her language and communication skills. We are a non-smoking household (and we expect our caregivers to be non-smoking) and we are an organised and tidy household. We have no pets.

**Your Duties**:

- Our required hours are 8am-5pm/5.30pm three days a week - days negotiable. You will solely be looking after our 1 year old girl as her brother will be attending kindergarten during the day until 3pm. Once he is home you will be looking after both children until 5pm. You are not required to pick up or drop off our son - mum/dad will manage that. A typical day will look like you independently caring for our daughter, feeding her lunch and putting her down for her nap. We have activities that she can participate in which are all in walking distance such as: playgroup, sport class, swimming class and spanish class. For the rest of the day it will be up to you to create a fun-filled day. We have plenty of resources for indoor activities at home such as painting, drawing, puzzles, sensory toys and there is also a library in walking distance. You will be required to do light cleaning after meals - ie. dishwasher unstacking/loading, cleaning benchtops and high chair, sweeping up any major spills etc. But you are not expected to clean the house - just leave things as you found them/pack toys away that get used during the day. We have a cleaner who comes fortnightly for a thorough clean. We do not require you to transport the children in your own car, but we have found that it is a good option for our caregivers to have their own car as sometimes Melbourne public transport can be difficult to manage. If you do not have a car and are not living too far away that's not a problem for us.

**Our Perfect Caregiver**:

- We are looking for a conscientious and committed nanny who is looking to form a strong friendship with our children. Ideally you have a minimum of five years experience with pre-school children working in either a childcare setting or as a nanny. We are looking for someone who is grounded and settled in Melbourne, who would like the consistency of ongoing work. We are looking for someone who is confident and experienced with children - who can help nurture them, teach them and support their development. Ideally, you are outdoorsy and like to go for walks, to the park and to help take the children to swimming lessons. We love cooking in our household and we have a list of family favourite meals which are easy to prepare and healthy (our children have no allergies). Our ideal caregiver is also able to meal prep for the children and to be independent in preparing their lunch and dinner during naptime. Please note that we require a first aid certificate, police check and WWCC and we will conduct reference checks prior to meeting you.
