**Position Information**:
The Hospital School at Westmead is a Department of Education Public School and is the largest Hospital School in NSW.

Co-located in Westmead Children's Hospital, we provide educational support to patients (and siblings by arrangement) in one of our Primary or High School classrooms. We also offer teaching by the bedside for patients who are unable to attend the classroom.

We take pride in our excellence to provide high quality, personalised learning while supporting the well-being needs of our students.

The appointed Teacher will be responsible for co-teaching in the primary classes, but with flexibility to teach in wards and other classes across the school as needed. The Teacher will also lead planning, delivery and evaluation of the whole school sport program.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Approval to teach Infants and Primary (K-6) and willingness to teach across K-12 as required, as well as proven ability to lead sport programs across all stages.
- Operate effectively at all stages of the teaching and learning cycle, including planning for learning and assessment, developing learning programs, teaching, assessing, providing feedback on student learning and reporting to all stakeholders.
- Create and maintain safe, inclusive and challenging learning environments and implement fair and equitable behaviour management plans.
- Compliance with NSW Health Category A worker is required
- Experience working in a hospital school is highly desired.
