We provide educational programs from Prep to Grade 12 for students residing from Maroochydore to Pelican Waters and west to Beerwah.
**About the Role**:
**As the Deputy Principal you will**:
- Implement the school's strategic plan and vision
- Develop and implement effective processes to improve the educational outcomes of all students
- Support implementation of innovative teaching and learning
- Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers, the community and stakeholders.
- Support the development and maintenance of a safe and supportive school environment
Through development of staff knowledge in curriculum, pedagogy, communication and wellbeing, Currimundi Special School aims to create and maintain a safe and supportive environment for students, staff and the wider community. Through effective partnerships, students are provided with the opportunities to reach their potential as they progress through the school.
As the Deputy Principal you will have responsibility for the following:
- Support every student to engage in learning in a safe and supportive environment
- Provide support for students with complex disabilities to support engagement in learning.
- Support implementation of Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Framework (7-10) (CARF) with fidelity
- Monitor and implement plans to support student behaviour and wellbeing
- Commit to the development of every staff member through delivery of innovative professional development, coaching, staff induction and medical training
- Support secondary workforce (teachers and teacher aides) to implement school-wide curriculum, behaviour and communication expectations
- Support the effective governance and organisation of the school through implementation of effective timetabling, rosters. HSW and departmental procedures
- Lead school priorities (curriculum, PBL, Communication and wellbeing)
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders (internal and external) to support positive student outcomes
