We are seeking a flexible and experienced School Administration Officer to join our school support team as a Level 4, two days per week (Thursdays and Fridays). This role is the face of the school—responsible for managing reception and the sick bay, and being the first point of contact for students, families, and visitors. The successful applicant will also assist with general administrative tasks and provide support to other staff as required. We are looking for someone who is warm, professional, and highly organised, and who thrives in a busy and dynamic school environment.

This is a temporary job share position, covering two days per week while the other job share partner works under a Flexible Work Arrangement. The role is in place until the end of the year, at which point it will be reviewed.

**Working Days**: Thursdays and Fridays, 8:30am to 3:00pm

**Knowledge and Experience**:

- Previous experience in school administration or similar roles
- Applies knowledge with depth in some areas and a broad range of skills across various tasks
- Uses discretion and judgement in planning, organising and achieving outcomes within time constraints
- Performs duties requiring a skill level that assumes:

- Completion of Certificate III, or
- Completion of Year 12 or Certificate II with relevant work experience

**Essential Skills and Attributes**:

- Experience managing a busy school reception and sick bay, acting as the welcoming face of the school
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a warm and professional manner
- Strong computer skills, especially with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.)
- Proficiency in Compass highly regarded
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a team environment
- Current First Aid qualification (HLTAID011) or a willingness to obtain it as soon as possible
- A flexible and proactive approach to shifting daily demands and priorities
- A willingness to assist others when needed, even outside of your core responsibilities

**Indicative Duties**:
A School Administrative Services - Level 4 employee's duties may include, but are not limited to:

- Providing compassionate care to unwell or injured students through sick bay supervision and first aid
- Supporting the accuracy of student attendance and movement records through the use of school systems
- Maintaining up-to-date student medical and contact information, as part of overall reception responsibilities
- Assisting with general administrative tasks to support school operations and staff
- Providing first aid to students as required, in line with current certification (HLTAID011)
- Ensuring smooth day-to-day reception and office operations in a busy school environment
