About Hercules Road State School
Hercules Road State School was opened in 1976. Since then our school has grown to be one of the largest schools in the area, with a proud history of academic, arts and sporting achievements.
At Hercules Road State School our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which all children can develop a love of learning and positive self-esteem, thus equipping them with the confidence needed to take risks in their learning. We believe that this can be achieved by following our rules and values, known as 'The HERCS'.
About the Role
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
- Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Deputise for the Principal when required.
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
- Be futures oriented and strategic.
