About the School
Moggill State School is a co-educational primary school in the western suburbs of Brisbane. Built in 1866, the school grew with the suburb and now has an enrolment of 747 students from Prep through to Year 6.
Moggill State School students follow the four school rules that focus on safety, responsibility, respect and being in the right place at the right time. Student attendance rates are excellent. The school community values and contributes to the education of their children and ensures support in all aspects of school life.
The school is traditionally successful in many areas of the school curriculum, being academically, sporting and the arts. We have an experienced, hard-working and dedicated school staff who go the extra mile to ensure student achievement is our priority.
About the Role
**As Deputy Principal the focus of your role will be to**:
- Assist the Principal in the daily operational running of the school, including staffing.
- Organise key school events.
- Manage Prep Transitions / Playgroup / Future enrolments.
- Deputise for the Principal when required.
- Provide inclusive support for students with learning and behavioural needs.
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
