As a Document Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless management of project documentation, contributing to the success of critical initiatives.
You will be responsible for maintaining document control processes, ensuring compliance with company standards, and facilitating efficient communication across the project team.Project DescriptionInland Rail is transforming how goods are moved around Australia, connecting Melbourne and Brisbane via regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
This 1,700km fast freight backbone will complete our national freight network – better connecting producers to markets and creating new opportunities for regional businesses, industries and communities.The Beveridge to Albury (B2A) project is the Victorian portion of the program undertaken along approximately 305 kms of existing northeast rail corridor between Beveridge and Albury.
B2A is staged in two tranches.
Tranche 1 includes enhancement works across four sites and corridor wide works.Tranche 2 works will be delivered by John Holland and includes adjustment of track alignments, the provision of new road overbridges and station modifications to enable the safe operation of double-stack freight trains across eight B2A project sites between Wandong and Benalla.ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain project documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.Ensure all documents are properly filed, accessible, and accurately recorded within document control systems.Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely submission, review, and approval of documentation.Monitor document version control to maintain data integrity and consistency.Support the preparation and distribution of reports, drawings, and other project-related documents.Provide administrative support to the B2A team as required.Ensure compliance with Document Control procedures.Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders; and Foster a culture of inclusion, responsiveness, honesty and accountability.QualificationsProven experience in a similar Document Controller position, preferably within the construction or infrastructure industry.Proficiency in document control software and systems (e.g., Aconex, TeamBinder, etc.).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to process improvement.Familiarity with John Holland's systems and processes (desirable but not essential).
