GHD's Sustainability team has an exciting new role and is looking for a self motivated and creative individual to join their Sydney team. You will have the opportunity to work on large scale, innovative projects and be empowered to push design in the built environment to go above and beyond the business-as-usual.

**Working with our Sustainability Team Leaders, this brand new and exciting position has great variety, and will see you involved in**:

- Integrating sustainable thinking into all facets of engineering and architectural design.
- Considering holistic sustainability strategies across the design process, informing the strategic development of large organisations and their associated projects.
- Simulating indoor environment factors such as occupant thermal comfort and daylight utilisation
- Developing pathways to meet Net Zero Emissions for new building and precinct design.
- Assessing how existing buildings and developments currently perform and identify areas where improvements can be made.
- Carrying out assessment of renewable energy generation systems
- Utilizing generative design software to model and analyze building and precinct design to enhance the microclimatic conditions of developments.

**What would you bring to the team?**
- Tertiary degree in a relevant engineering, environmental or architecture related profession
- 3+ years of diverse experience in the provision and delivery of ESD
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of Sustainability Framework rating tools (such as Green Star) with experience delivering frameworks on various projects
- Detailed knowledge of sustainability compliance measures including the NCC Section J
- Experience in Energy Modelling using IES.
- Knowledge of sustainability compliance requirements including the NCC Section J
- Experience with building simulation modelling tools such as IES Virtual Environment (e.g. geometry creation, daylight, basic HVAC energy analysis)
- Understanding of cost benefit analysis
- Experience with parametric analysis of building performance and associated software (e.g. Ladybug Tools, IES Parametric, Revit Insight, etc.)
- Ability to read and understand building design documentation such as architectural drawings, building services drawings, equipment schedules etc.
- Minimum of 2 years in the provision and delivery of ESD work
