The primary role of the Head of Marketing is to lead the full scope of Marketing remit for the Viatris Australia business, identifying market and industry data to accurately diagnose business strengths, opportunities, and issues, and develop strategies and plans in support of continuous business growth.
This role will work closely with our senior business leaders to drive marketing business strategies to achieve revenue, sales and profit targets for the business. A key aspect of this role is to prioritize and manage resource allocation - develop and manage budget to ensure execution and efficient use of resources across all brands, and ensure a strongly positive ROI from the marketing mix whilst managing relationships with external agencies and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Ensure seamless collaboration with Viatris globally leveraging and introducing best practice from other Viatris affiliates
- Demonstrate strong strategic and analytical thinking to make decisions - ensure strategies and analytics are effectively translated into well executed tactics with quantifiable, manageable results
- Strong ability to manage the demand planning process.
- Execute branding initiatives, utilising promotional tools, public relations, internal communications, DTC, collaterals, etc. to achieve maximum product sales potential. Be responsible for communications to target customer groups
- Identify unmet needs and underserved market segments for potential growth opportunities
- High level contribution towards executive decisions and Global Business reviews
The minimum qualifications and experience required for this role are:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent in; Marketing, Business or Science.
- Minimum 10 years experience in a Marketing managerial role and at least 5 years in-industry experience. Both experience and qualifications will be taken into consideration.
- Experience essential in working with OTC and RX product portfolios.
- Ability to lead a team and direct and the work of others to achieve successful business outcomes;
- Demonstrated capability in leadinga a marketing function, driving and creating strategies and plans, strong understanding of brand planning, forecasting, and complex marketing campaigns.
- Must be eligible to work in Australia (Australian Citizen or appropriate Visa holder).
