About the role
This role will perform an integral role in the planning, implementation and maintenance of all current and future patient information systems inclusive of the Prison Electronic Medical Record (PeMR).
The role is responsible for working collaboratively across Queensland with other Hospital and Health Services to document agreed governance processes in relation to historic paper clinical records in preparation for the PeMR implementation.
About you
- A high level of expertise and experience in the management, administration and technical aspects of hospital information systems, including extraction, interpretation and provision of patient information.
- A high level of commitment to quality improvement activities with expertise to implement and maintain quality activities in relation to patient data.
- Ability to review health information and clinical information system operations to determine their effectiveness, and to make recommendations about policy initiatives and corporate strategies affected by the system operations.
- A high level of responsibility and initiative, effective negotiation, consultative and interpersonal skills, as well as high level written and oral communication skills, including experience in preparing and delivering educational material, and a proven constructive participation in multidisciplinary project teams and committees

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
