Job Title: Health Information Manager
This role is responsible for leading a team of professionals in the field of health information management.
The successful candidate will oversee key areas such as clinical coding, medical transcription, release of information, and health information management. They will be responsible for driving excellence in every aspect of these services.
Main Responsibilities:
- Clinical Coding: Oversee the accurate and efficient coding of patient data to ensure high-quality health information.
- Medical Transcription: Manage the transcription of medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Release of Information: Coordinate the release of patient information to authorized parties.
- Health Information Management: Lead and develop a high-performing team to achieve excellence in all health information services.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor Degree in Health Science or Business (Health Administration - Health Information Management) and eligibility for HIMAA membership.
- Experience: Proven expertise in health information management at a senior level, particularly in clinical coding (ICD, AR-DRGs), form design, and auditing.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading teams, driving quality and safety standards, and collaborating effectively with IT and clinical teams.
