Senior Data Analyst with experience as a developer in PowerBI and expertise in designing and developing complex PowerBI solutions on Azure environment. Proficient in data modelling, querying and transformation, and data visualisation best practices. Hands on experience in Azure services. Hands on experience with external PowerBI tools. Setting up and using deployment pipelines and GIT integration for PowerBI using DevOps/VS Code.

**Key duties and responsibilities**:
1. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs related to health data analytics and reporting.

2. Design and develop Power BI solutions in an Azure environment, leveraging Data Bricks where applicable, to visualise and analyse health data effectively.

3. Develop and optimise data models and queries to ensure high performance and scalability of Power BI dashboards and reports.

4. Implement data cleansing, transformation, and enrichment processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

5. Create visually compelling and insightful dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights into health data trends, patterns, and metrics.

6. Perform thorough testing and validation of Power BI solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability, and usability.

7. Provide team members with technical guidance, support and training as needed.

8. Adhere to security requirements for handling sensitive health data in a government sector environment. Develop and deploy Power BI Apps to distribute and share insights securely within the organisation.

**Requirements**:
**Essential criteria**:
1. Proven experience as a Power BI Developer with expertise in designing and developing complex Power BI solutions in an Azure environment.

2. Strong proficiency in C#, Python, SQL, DAX, and M languages for data modelling, querying, and transformation and familiarity with data visualisation best practices and UX/UI design principles.

3. Hands-on experience with Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage / Blob Storage, Azure Analysis Services, and Data Bricks for analytics tasks.

4. Hands-on experience with external Power BI tools like Bravo, Tabular Editor and Dax Studio.

5. Experience in setting up and using deployment pipelines and GIT integration for Power BI using DevOps/VS Code. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

**Desirable criteria**:
1. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate are a plus.
