OverviewABC Towing is a leading provider of towing and roadside assistance services, known for our professionalism, reliability, and customer-focused approach.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our team.From time to time, you will be required to assist the transport team with enquiries, bookings, and quotes.
As such, familiarity with transport or logistics operations is beneficial, as the role also supports accounting functions directly related to towing services and fleet operations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactionsPrepare and maintain purchase orders and ensure accurate tracking of purchasesReconcile supplier statements and follow up on discrepanciesProcess payments in a timely and accurate mannerMonitor and manage outstanding debtor accountsPerform bank reconciliations and assist with end-of-month reportingCommunicate with suppliers and customers regarding account queriesMaintain accurate and up-to-date financial recordsAnswering phones, filing and general administrationFrom time to time, you will be required to assist the transport team with enquiries, bookings, and quotes.RequirementsProven experience in a similar accounts receivable/payable roleStrong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliationAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentGood working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks – specify if known)Excellent organisational and time management skillsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and as part of a teamIf you're a proactive and reliable accounts professional looking for your next opportunity, we'd love to hear from you
