About the opportunity
The Team Leader, Hobart Clinical School, is responsible for managing a small team of professional staff to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of outcomes for years 3-5 of the Medicine Program both at a local level and in partnership with the other clinical schools across the State.
What you'll do:
Lead, supervise and direct a team to deliver efficient and high-quality administrative services, ensuring effective target setting, performance management, coaching, and staff development.
Develop and maintain effective relationships across the Hobart Clinical School, the wider Tasmanian School of Medicine, and relevant University stakeholders.
Advise staff, students and clinicians about relevant University and School policies, processes, and procedures.
Manage key operational aspects of local program delivery including recruitment, budget monitoring, space, infrastructure, safety and compliance to meet program outcomes.
Actively participate in working groups, forums and other School of Medicine led activities that contribute to the successful deployment of the Medicine Program at a statewide level.
What we're looking for:
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to mentor and motivate others to work efficiently, effectively and co-operatively.
Excellent oral and interpersonal skills and the ability to understand client needs and provide exceptional customer service.
Demonstrated organisational and prioritisation skills and the ability to perform tasks with accuracy, attention to detail and under minimum supervision.
Competence in the use of a range of computer software applications, including word-processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software and email.
Ability to identify and implement improvements in work methods and the working environment.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 6 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $116,872 comprising base salary within the range of $92,120 to $99,891 plus 17% superannuation.
