**The Role
**Leading, coaching and Developing our Network Planning team you will be responsible for managing the flow of local and Indent stock through the BIGW network while balancing inventory strategies, rules and thresholds to deliver cost, inventory, availability and network performance. The role is highly involved in planning, reporting and triaging of event periods including Christmas, Easter and Public Holidays, as well as leading contingency plans to support network disruption, natural disasters and derailments.
**Key Responsibilities, but not limited, are:
- Delivery of the BIGW network ranging strategy
- Manage Network range and stock flow in line with BIGW priorities and inventory
- Provide expert analysis and recommendations on state of network to the BIGW business
- Plan and manage the use of pick slots in the DCs, ensuring that the number of required pick slots does not breach capacity especially in peak times
- Develop internal reporting and tools to aid the forecasting and management of DC reserve, inbound and pick slot capacity
- Work collaboratively with Buying, Planning and Supply Planning to develop stock flow plans for all key events, most notably Easter, Toy Sale, Halloween, Christmas and Back to School
- Work collaboratively with our DC teams to ensure analyses are accurate and opportunities to further optimise the supply chain network are being implemented
- Fostering partnerships with external and internal stakeholders to promote trust within the end to end replenishment process and increase awareness of the value proposition of the Replenishment team.
- Coaching and mentoring to develop a high performance, empowered team, and culture
- Developing talent within the Replenishment Team, through the creation of employee development plans.
- Understanding and evaluating current processes end to end in delivery of continuous improvement.
- Support and enable the execution of Supply Chain projects in conjunction with our DC teams.
**About you
**You will bring to the role the ability to manage, organise and prioritise multiple work assignments within a fast paced environment aligning and balancing the needs of the business with the operational capabilities of our Supply Partners and Supply Chains. You will have exceptional communication skills and a strong knowledge and understanding of demand and volume modelling, event planning, and proven capability to identify and deliver tools and processes to support the teams.
**Knowledge/Experience:
- Proven leader with the ability to develop and inspire large teams with broad skill sets.
- Excellent communication skills through written form, meetings as well as formal presentation settings.
- .Previous experience at leadership level in Replenishment, Demand Planning, or supply chain, preferably within a retail environment.
- Complex problem solving ability to identify process issues and conduct root cause analysis to develop contingencies/countermeasures to resolve issues
- Strategic thinker with the ability to bring together the appropriate parties to create solutions, facilitate prioritisation, and deliver positive outcomes in line with business needs.
- Previous experience working with large data sets to identify opportunities and risks
- Knowledge of DC processes and flow paths including Indent
- Highly analytical with keen attention to detail.
