Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled technical professional to lead our data center and network capacity planning initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing demand requirements and available network resources to determine prime solutions for customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assess demand requirements and available network resources to determine prime solutions for customers
  • Work with stakeholders to complete pre-requisites necessary to deliver critical networking capacity
  • Lead programs to improve infrastructure resource utilization and availability
  • Monitor network health, customer demand, anticipate risks, resolve issues and initiate corrective action as appropriate
  • Manage dependencies and interfaces between projects and negotiate trade-offs needed
  • Provide program progress reporting on a regular basis
  • End-to-end responsibility for the program's execution and success
  • Manage multiple competing projects/programs simultaneously
  • Develop and implement scalable, data-driven process improvement/automated solutions

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be part of a team that ensures data center network and port capacity is available for incoming customer racks (demand). Customer racks (also known as server racks) need this capacity (networking racks) to gain access to the AWS network to provide service capacity for AWS customers.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
  • Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure
  • Excellent written composition and verbal communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, Excel, and Tableau
