About the Role
The Reporting Analyst sits within the Road Safety Partnership Governance and Reporting team within Road Safety Victoria. The role is responsible for collecting and communicating project and program information on major Road Safety infrastructure investment programs to support effective program management and reporting.
Specifically, the role will support work with key stakeholders including regional and metro capital delivery teams to oversee project reporting and ensure accurate and quality information is provided to key stakeholders and leadership to support decision making, governance and assurance.
About you
Take your love for data and reporting to the next level with this role dealing with large scale Road Safety Programs. We are looking for someone passionate about interpreting and analysing program data, along with delivering findings through reporting and providing advise to stakeholders. Your ability to communicate and influence will see you a trusted and sought after member of the team. You will work closely with project and program managers and other key stakeholders to strengthen program management with financials, monitoring projects and ultimately drive better road safety outcomes.
Responsibilities include
- High Quality Reporting - Produce program level reports on program status including scope, delivery status, risks, milestones (including reporting on financial data)
- Provide advise using visualisations, dashboards
- Track program scope and scope variations (e.g. length of barriers) for reporting measures to assist with reporting and decisions on program and projects
- Detail focus - observe fine details, identified gaps in information, looked for logical sequences of information; highlights practical considerations of plans and activities. Actively track program scope and scope variations for reporting measures.
- Stakeholder Relationships - Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders - Regional and Metro capital delivery, program managers, CAMMS team and ePMO team focussing on understanding stakeholder issues, to support value creation, leverage data assets, help develop more sophisticated data and analytics products and services.
- Continuous Improvement - Achieve efficiencies and improvements in processes and analyses through innovations in data reporting and insights, such as integration of disparate data sets into reporting, and the design and production of improved visual and narrative representations of data and insights.
Mandatory Qualifications and experience
- Demonstrated experience in a Portfolio/Program Management Office, or equivalent, within a large and complex organisation.
- Experience in reporting and monitoring programs or projects
Desirable
- Experience in similar industries highly desirable
- Experience with Financial data and Risk Management will also be highly regarded
- Proven, well-developed research and problem-solving skills including high level written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in one or more visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
