**Educational Leader Position**:
**65 hours per fortnight**:
Lead, inspire and motivate your educators to provide the best outcomes for children, families and community.

- Permanent part time
- 65 hours per fortnight

**The Role**:
The Educational Leader predominantly acts to inspire, lead, mentor and guide Meerilinga Educators in the provision of quality Early Childhood Education and Care with:

- Early Years Learning Framework
- National Quality Standards
- Education and Care National Law and Regulations
- Current research and innovative practice.
- Strength based approach

This position leads pedagogical practices aligned to Meerilinga's values, philosophy, policies and procedures and supports Educators in their implementation of quality practices.

The role encompasses:

- Promoting an understanding of Approved Learning Frameworks
- Knowledge of Early Childhood theories
- Mentoring and leading change in practice to create quality learning environments
- Guiding Educators in critical reflection and reflective practice.
- Embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture into everyday practice and documentation.
- Seeking professional development opportunities to share learnt knowledge
- Supporting educators to understand and implement policies, procedures and reflect on their practice.
- Support the understanding and implementation of the Rights of the Child.
- Demonstrate the Early Learning Programs are meeting expected standards by writing outcome stories.

**About you**:
You are a knowledgeable and warm individual that embraces new challenges, demonstrates a high work ethic and loves leading and supporting a team with a passion for children's education and community partnerships. You will role-model high standards and seamlessly integrate the needs of the families and community into the centre and broader community

**Along with this, you will also have**:

- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or Working towards ECT.
- Registration with the Teacher Registration Board of WA or the equivalent regulatory body and maintained for duration of employment
- HLTAID12 Provide First Aid in Early Education and Care
- 2 years' experience leading an early learning program.
- Current First Aid
- Excellent knowledge of National Quality Framework
- Demonstrated experience building partnerships with children and families
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to design and deliver exceptional educational programs
- Ability to collaborate, encourage, and inspire Educators
- Sound judgement and decision making
- Competent in role modelling innovation and creativity in our Early Learning programs
