Our new Distribution Centre in Truganina is a purpose built, semi-automated site servicing our retail stores around Australia. With thousands of shoes moving through our logistics and supply chain function we have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Inventory Manager to join our DC.
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager you will be responsible for managing a small team and monitoring and maintaining current inventory levels, accuracy, and ongoing compliance.
More about the Role;
The DC Inventory Manager is responsible for Monitoring and maintaining current inventory levels by evaluating and managing stock rotation procedures. As DC Inventory Manager your day will involve;
- Maintaining inventory accuracy through a continuous cycle counting program.
- Managing the quality assurance of products.
- Developing and implementing standards of product inspection.
- Resolving inventory queries/issues internally and externally with the relevant Team Members.

More about You
We are looking for a professional Inventory Manager with over 3 years' experience in a high-volume logistics and supply chain environment. This role will be based in our Distribution centre with a reporting line to our Procurement Manager and Warehouse Manager. We would highly value a background in a retail warehouse, or manufacturing environment with previous experience leading a small team.
We are looking for you to have experience in the following areas.
- Tertiary qualifications in Logistics/Management
- Demonstrated experience in managing cycle counts and discrepancy resolutions.
- Experience working in a greenfield setting and ramping up operations as systems and products go live, an advantage.
- Ability to come to functional resolutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills: ability to coach, counsel, and performance manage as required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to cope with changing schedules and deadlines
