Join the Vegetation Management Unit in Charleville as a Natural Resource Management Officer at the Queensland Government.
This temporary role offers a mix of technical work and community engagement within a supportive, collaborative team.
Enjoy work-life balance and flexible arrangements while contributing to sustainable land management across Queensland.Our Land division manages 60% of Queensland's land and provides various land and property services, including land valuations, native title claims, indigenous land services, vegetation management, and more.Key Responsibilities Include:Assessing applications under the Vegetation Management Act 1999 and related frameworks.Conducting desktop and field-based vegetation assessments.Providing expert advice to landholders, community members, and stakeholders.Preparing clear, evidence-based reports, briefs, and recommendations for senior officers.Contributing to compliance inspections and enforcement planning.Supporting continuous improvement, business planning, and policy implementation.To Apply, Please Submit:A current resume (3-4 pages) with relevant experience and two referees' contact details.A 1-2 page cover letter highlighting your skills in:Communicating confidently with the public.Applying and interpreting legislation, regulations, and policies.Analyzing and summarizing complex information.Working effectively in a team.Utilizing mapping programs, spatial information systems, and navigating databases.Why work for us?
