Redstone Commodity Search are working with an up-and-coming environmental trading company looking to hire a carbon trader to join the team to help develop the Voluntary market.

**Key Responsibilities / Tasks**
- Responsible for trading and business on the voluntary carbon market
- Analyse trends in the market including counterparty research to produce accurate forecasts so as to maximise profit through business development
- Prepare proposals for carbon offsetting based on pre-existing projects as well as conducting onsite meetings and discussion with prospective clients and representing the company at conferences in order to build brand awareness.
- Develop and sustain a portfolio of clients within the voluntary market, being responsible for the whole lifecycle of onboarding from initial contact through to close.
- Reports into the director of business development.

**Key Qualifications / Experience**
- 2+ years of experience in carbon and/or environmental products markets with a demonstrable track record of relationship building with internal and external stakeholders as well as confidence in your salesmanship
- Strong understanding of the Australian carbon market and associated environmental and energy markets
- Strong MS Office experience and attention to detail
- Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills (in English) and an entrepreneurial mindset
- Role to be based in Australia/Singapore
