**Position title** : Junior Animal Attendant**Position status**: Casual**Location** : Vetwest WannerooThe position of animal attendant is an entry level position and would suit someone who is looking to enter the Veterinary industry and/or potentially study their Certificate 2.**About us**

Our Wanneroo hospital is a busy, well equipped clinic with a friendly, supportive team who are committed to providing exceptional standards of client service and patient care and a stimulating working environment for our team members to learn and grow their careers. It is also home to our north of the river luxury boarding facility Cats in the City.**About the position**

This position would be a mixture of looking after our Cats in the City boarding facility with the addition of performing tasks in the hospital as required.
- The main tasks and responsibilities would include;- Cleaning and caring for our boarding cats in Cats in the City including cleaning condos, providing food and water, close monitoring for any problems, animal handling
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the Cats in the City boarding facility at all times
- Admissions and discharges of boarding cats
- Providing regular updates for clients during their cat's stay
- Assisting with general hospital cleaning and maintenance as required

The successful applicant must show;- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and care to all clients
- Genuine interest in animals and commitment to their safety and well-being
- Possess excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to show initiative and common sense and a willingness to be proactive in their learning and career development
- Hours: 15-18 hours/week- Vetwest Wanneroo is currently open 6 days per week. Position includes working mornings & evenings, weekends and some public holidays.
