As the Procurement Manager you will be responsible for leading the ongoing development, implementation and execution of AAL's Procurement Framework.
You will be tasked with providing commercially focused procurement support across the business assisting business units to plan, develop, source and manage procurement resulting in cost effective, efficient and sustainable sourcing of goods and services and ensuring effective administration of process and compliance with all relevant Polices and the Framework.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Leading the ongoing development, implementation and maintenance of the Procurement Policy and Framework in line with AAL's Maturity aspirations and in support of the wider Strategic and Corporate plan
- Supporting business units to deliver real and sustainable operating cost reductions through well planned, efficient and sustainable sourcing of goods and services including working with the business to identify expenditure and potential savings by category using procurement metrics
- Execute all procurement governance and undertake procurement assurance activities as required
- Develop, maintain and report progress against the Procurement Business Plan
**Key requirements include**:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, Law or equivalent, ideally being a Certified Procurement Professional
- Minimum 5 years' demonstrable experience of managing procurement and supply chain activities within a major commercial organisation.
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation, spend management and risk management experience across multiple product categories.
- A proven track record in delivering sustainable, end to end procurement strategies for complex businesses for numerous stakeholders with conflicting demands.
