**Club Secretary/Football Operations Manager**

Wentworthville United Junior Rugby League Football Club (WUJRLFC) is undertaking significant organisational change with the recent departure of Club's Secretary/Football Operations Manager.

With a rapidly changing environment impacting governance, funding, participation and consequently, strategic requirements. We are seeking a high calibre individual to lead the Club, shape and deliver a transformation program that leaves a positive and permanent impact on the Club for years to come.

WUJRLFC is a highly competitive club participating in the development of junior rugby league within the NSWRL and Parramatta Junior Rugby League, playing a key role in strengthening the game by driving participation and growth, development and encouragement of its members to reach their full potential no matter their ability.

WUJRLFC oversees events, activities, game and player development programs within its local community. And through its membership, WUJRLFC represents almost 600 players, participants, workers and volunteers.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Board of Directors through its President, you will be responsible for advancing the delivery of the Club's potential to realise growth, participation and proposed services to its members.

Other key functions include supporting or directly administering broad and inclusive participation programs, delivering quality player development programs and securing new and adjacent funding streams to re-invest back into our members.

You are energetic, self-motivated and a commercially astute leader, with experience engaging and developing positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You are an innovative thinker capable of identifying and capitalising on opportunities and delivering them in a timely manner.

You possess demonstrable experience driving positive cultural change, navigating and prioritising complex issues, managing and delivering key initiatives. Ideally, you will have experience working with key stakeholders, Local Council, State and Federal Government, and exhibit a successful track record managing a member-based organisation and working with volunteers.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Leading a club or team through cultural change - demonstrate key successes achieved
- Provision of relevant, reliable and timely advice without fear or favour
- Effective relationship building and stakeholder management
- Key spokesperson for a club - demonstrated ability to represent the Club and deliver messages clearly and with confidence
- Well-developed strategic planning and implementation skills
- Leading a club promoting diversity, inclusiveness and equality
- Brand development and delivery
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area
- Professional Skills and Attributes
- An understanding of the workings and demands of a sport and/or membership-based organisation
- An ability to lead and manage multiple stakeholders
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills with the experience to be a respected spokesperson and relationship builder
- Ability to lead a peak sporting club which operates within a membership support framework
- A proven record of managing the financial operations, compliance and risk management of an organisation in a transparent, efficient and professional manner
- Highly developed interpersonal skills including advanced negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent partnership-building skills, an engaging interpersonal style with the ability to communicate and work effectively with people from all walks of life, and a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in working within a sporting and/or volunteer organisation is desirable
- A successful track-record in business development and planning
- Ability to work effectively with a Board of Directors and to cultivate existing board member relationships
- An understanding of New South Wales Rugby League and its rules is essential.

**Location**

This position is located at Ringrose Park 30 Smith Street, Wentworthville and flexible working arrangements when appropriate.

Travel to schools throughout the local government area and Sydney basin, intrastate NSW and occasionally interstate may be required from time-to-time.
