**Key responsibilities of this role**:

- Provide support and assist with the preparation of written material for internal and external publications, social media and online platforms, speeches and media releases.
- Provide advice and practical assistance in the development, implementation and evaluation of communication plans and deliverables to achieve agreed outcomes for the department, programs or initiatives.
- Prepare plans and coordinate delivery of communication projects, including preparation of collateral, audio visual materials for public presentations, campaigns and internal communication.
- Develop and foster strong, positive working relationships with internal and external colleagues, partners, networks and other stakeholders to support the effective delivery of communication and media activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team and department as a whole by actively innovating and improving strategies, processes and systems.
- Prepare briefing material and other associated documentation for the department's sponsorship activities.
- Adopt working methods that adjust to cultural and political differences. - Staff engaged by the department are expected to adhere to our SOLID (strengths-based, open, loyal, innovative and dedicated) culture. - Actively source and coordinate content for internal communications activities. - All staff are responsible for identifying, managing and reporting risks related to their work with the department.
